In 2015, countries adopted a set of goals to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of the united nations new sustainable development agenda. Welldecommissioned contributes to 3 goals:

Climate Action

With our team and software we do not only optimise towards responsible closure of wells in a cost efficient manner. We also work on transparent measurement and targets for reduced emissions. Our team is involved in several innovative propositions to close wells with strongly reduced, and ultimately with zero emissions.

Life below water

Closing more wells responsibily for less means the global inventory of unclosed wells will be reduced faster. This reduces the risk of future environmental pollution. And allows alternative use of our oceans.

Life on land

Besides our advise on low emission solutions to close oil and gas fields,  WellDecommissioned is involved in several initiatives to re-use onshore wells for alternative energy purposes. One of our objectives is to make geothermal energy more economic to society.
